Unique “rolled” yellow flower petals each resembling a quill. Black cones. A shorter version of ‘Henry Eilers’. Good bloom show from August – October. 3 – 4′ tall. Clump forming habit. Full sun. Moist soil tolerant. Attracts butterflies. Deer resistant. Midwest U.S. native species. Zone 4.
