Long spikes of green buds open to pale pink flowers. Late June – Aug. A tall clump forming perennial with a strongly vertical presence and green lance-shaped foliage. 4′ tall. Full sun, moist soil. Attracts pollinators. Deer resistant. Combines well with aster, chelone, eupatorium, helianthus, hibiscus. A Piet Oudolf introduction! NE U.S. native species. Zone 4.
