Large, deep purple flowers open earlier than ‘Iron Butterfly’. August – Sept. A sturdy and relatively compact bushy form with narrower leaves than NY Ironweed. 36-42″ tall. Showy seed heads. Full sun. Moist soil tolerant. Attracts hummingbirds & butterflies. Zone 3.
