Verbena hastata

Dark blue-violet flowers.  2 – 4′ tall.  July – September.  Full sun – light shade; moist soil.  Best in mixed plantings with yellow and gold flowered perennials.  Highly attractive to native bees.  Northeastern U.S. native of moist to wet meadows.  Zone 3.
