Dangling, yellow-green flowers resemble hanging tassels. April – May. 12 – 24″ tall. Ferny, bluish-green foliage. Light to moderate shade (full sun if wet); moist soil. Tolerates dry soil. Good cut flower. Attracts butterflies. Deer resistant. Mixed borders, woodlands, meadows. Northeastern U.S. native. Zone 3.
