Gray-green leaves form a loose mound up to 3′ tall. Yellow-orange fall color. Showy blooms open green-pink reach up to 5′ tall. Aug – Sept. Best in full sun. Widely adaptable from moist to dry soils. Drought tolerant. Salt tolerant. Deer resistant. Native to Midwest North America. Zone 4.
