Beautiful, 2″ pale-yellow blooms stand tall on statuesque stems to 5′ tall. July – September. Basal leaves are 10-15″ long and lance-shaped. Full sun; medium to dry well-draining soil. Drought tolerant. Stays shorter in drier soils. Fine hairs cover both leaves and well-branched flower stalks. Attracts pollinators. SE U.S. native species. Zone 5.
