Silphium laciniatum

Clumps of deeply cut basal leaves up to 18″ long! 5″ wide yellow daisies on stems 6 – 8’+ tall. July – September. Full sun. Drought tolerant. Attracts hummingbirds, butterflies and seed eating birds. An architectural plant. Mixed borders, mass plantings, rain gardens. Central U.S. native. Zone 3.
