Leaves arranged in spiral rows around the stems.  Forms a low, evergreen mat 1 – 2″ tall.  Greenish-yellow flowers June – July.  Full sun to part shade, well-drained soil.  Drought tolerant.  Attracts butterflies.  Stepping stones, edger, rock gardens, containers, small space filler.  Zone 4.
