Deep, rose-red “pitchers” serve to attract insects which get trapped and digested! 6 – 8″ long. Pinkish-red flowers. May – July. Full sun; consistently moist to wet soil. Easily grown in a saucer filled with water. Do not fertilize. Fascinating in their form, function and beauty! Eastern U.S. native species. Zone 6.
