Upright, green “pitchers” with showy dark purple and red laced caps serve to attract insects which get trapped and digested! 12 – 14″ long. Red flowers. May – July. Full sun; consistently moist to wet soil. Easily grown in a saucer filled with water. Do not fertilize. Hybrid of eastern U.S. native species. Zone 5a.
