White bottlebrush-shaped flowers. August – Sept. Forms beefy clumps of saw-toothed foliage. 4 – 5′ tall. Full sun – part shade, average to moist soils. Attracts butterflies. Graceful accents for the late season garden. Northeastern U.S. native. Zone 3.
