Purple flowers June – July. Striking black flower stems. 18 – 24″ tall. Full sun – light shade, well-drained soil. Moderately drought tolerant. Cut back spent blooms for extended bloom time. Attracts hummingbirds and butterflies. Deer resistant. Combines well with achillea, coreopsis and hemerocallis. Zone 5.
