Red flowers emerge early spring with showy yellow stamens, April – May. Flowers are followed by ornamental, plume-like seedheads. Light green basal foliage is deeply divided, silky and fern-like. 9 – 12″ tall. Full sun – part shade, well-drained soil. Summer dormant. Zone 4.
