Highly glossed, dark green, arching fronds. Evergreen. 1 – 2′ tall. Light to moderate shade. Grows best in organically rich, moist soil. Easy to grow. Deer resistant. Combines well with myosotis, carex, tricyrtis, Begonia grandis, smaller hostas and spring flowering bulbs. Native to Japan, S. Korea. Zone 5.
