Tiers of showy, rosy-lilac flowers in whorled clusters on burgundy stems. May – July. Attractive, green, wrinkled leaves are slightly downy. Vigorously reaching 3 – 5′ tall. Notably taller than species. Full sun; well-drained soil. Drought tolerant. Attracts pollinators. Seed heads remain attractive through fall and winter. Well-suited to the sunny, dry border. Deer resistant. Zone 5.
