Tubular lavender flowers with white lips. May – June. Hairy stems. 1-2′ tall. Full sun to shade. Drought tolerant once established. Moist tolerant. Attracts butterflies and hummingbirds. Deer resistant. A versatile species well suited to rock gardens, lean soils, cottage gardens, naturalized landscapes, and rain gardens. Northeastern U.S. native. Zone 3.
