Papaver ‘Pizzicato’

Large, satiny flowers with their signature black base in shades of white, pink, salmon and scarlet.  May – June.  Compact variety at 23 – 27″ tall.  Full sun; well-drained, organically rich soil.  Deer resistant.  Attracts hummingbirds.  Summer dormant – best planted in combination with later blooming perennials: asters, chelone, echinacea, heliopsis, panicum, rudbeckia.  Zone 3.
