Beautiful & versatile long-lived warm season grass. Flowers begin in July. 4 ‘ tall. Full sun. Drought tolerant once established. Leaves begin to turn dark red in July & are completely dark red by September. Remains attractive through winter. Cut back to 6″ tall in early spring. Northeastern U.S. native species. Zone 4.
