Yellow flowers July – August. Lovely green foliage to 20″. Full sun – light shade. Red, orange, pink or yellow edible tubers. Eat raw or cooked; taste reminiscent of a sweet potato. Harvest by Thanksgiving. Stores well in fridge. Save some to replant in Spring. Edible stems can be used like rhubarb. Can also be grown in containers. Tender perennial, zone 9.
