Pink cotton candy-like plumes fading to tan. September – March. Dark green foliage. Clump-forming habit. 3 – 4 ‘ tall. Full sun. Effective singly and in masses. A good choice for use in droughty soils. Northeastern U.S. native of sandy or rocky soils. Salt tolerant. Deer resistant. Zone 6, possibly 5.
