Green, clump-forming foliage. Airy, reddish-purple seed heads maturing to chestnut brown. July – winter. 4 – 5′ tall. The entire plant turns golden-yellow in the fall. Upright, arching habit. Full sun – light shade. Deer resistant. Useful as an accent – singly and in masses. Zone 4.
