Hairy semi-evergreen grass-like green leaves. 6 – 12″ tall. Flowers to 20″ tall. April – May. Light to moderate shade. Dense tufts are slow spreading. Excellent companion for ferns, woodland flowers. Ideal for under trees & among shrubs. Northeastern U.S. native. Zone 4.
