Blue-purple flowers in the spring followed by flat, round pods in the summer. Purple-flushed stems and seedpods. 3′ tall. Light to moderate shade best. Excellent dried for flower arranging. Deer resistant. Biennial. Self sows. An old fashioned favorite! Zone 5.
