Wide spreading deciduous shrub.  6 – 10′ tall.  Unusually early, extremely fragrant creamy white flowers March to April – among the most fragrant of flowering shrubs!  Known to bloom with snow still on the ground!  Full sun to light shade; moist, well-drained soil.  A good screen plant for the shrub border.  Attracts butterflies & hummingbirds.  Zone 4.
