Pink-purple (occasionally white) flowers in upright spikes. July – August. 3′ tall. Full sun. Drought tolerant. Good cut flower. Deer resistant. Attracts songbirds & butterflies. Borders, dry meadows. Northeastern U.S. native. Ours are Long Island native stock. Zone 3.
