Deep, rich green leaves. 5 – 7′ tall. Full sun – light shade. Moist soil tolerant. Dense, heavy fruiting of large, bright red berries starting in fall with good fruit retention in winter. Requires a male pollinator for berry production. A favorite shrub for fall and winter effect. Salt tolerant. Northeastern U.S. native species. Zone 3.
