Glowing apricot new growth fading to soft amber by summer.  Intense salmon-red fall foliage.  Fuzzy leaves with pink undersides.  Long panicles of creamy white flowers June – July.  12 – 18″ tall.  Light to moderate shade.  Moderately drought tolerant.  Garden beds, containers.  Eastern U.S. native species.  A 2022 PHS Gold Medal Plant. Zone 4.
