Starry white flowers June – July. Attractive foliage turning orange to yellow in the fall. Compact bushy habit. Wiry reddish stems. 2 – 3 ‘ tall. Interesting seed heads persist into winter. Light to moderate shade best; full sun ok if moist. Tolerant of a wide variety of conditions. Long-lived. Deer resistant. Northeastern U.S. native. Zone 4.
