Lavender-fuchsia flowers with white throats. May – June. Attractive, dark burgundy-brown foliage reminiscent of coffee. 12-15″ tall. Part shade – sun. Deer resistant. Attracts butterflies. Low maintenance. Juglone tolerant. Combines well with ferns, saruma, asarum, epimedium, Japanese anemones, arisaema, tricyrtis. Northeastern U.S. native species. Zone 3.
