Leathery, ruby-red leaves that mature to dark, nearly-black purple. Red stems. Chartreuse flowers in June. 12 – 18″ tall. Full sun to moderate shade; well-drained soil. Excellent in containers also. Drought tolerant. Deer resistant. Good cut flower. Borderline hardy, grow accordingly. Zone 6.
