Produces an amazing fog-like effect with its purple flowers softening to tan later. August – December. 8 – 14″ tall. A warm season grass growing in dense, mounded clumps. Full sun. Drought tolerant. Deer resistant. Northeastern U.S. native. Ours are Long Island native. Zone 4.
