Green, rough, narrow leaves form loose clumps. 2-4′ tall. Airy, ornamental bottlebrush seed heads emerge green in June and age to brown. Seed heads persist through fall and serve as a food source to birds. Full sun – part shade. Tolerates a wide variety of soils. Thrives in moist soils. Drought tolerant. Juglone tolerant. Deer resistant. NE U.S. native. Zone 3.
