Purple-red flowers July – September. Upright, sturdy habit to 24 – 30″ tall. Full sun, well-drained soil. Drought tolerant. Excellent cut flower. Low maintenance. Garden borders, large containers. Attracts hummingbirds & butterflies as well as seed-eating birds. Scored high in Mt. Cuba trials! Eastern U.S. native species. Zone 3.
