Pale, purple-pink, drooping flowers with slender petals. Fragrant. Blooms June – July. Orange-copper center cones. 2 – 3′ tall. Full sun. Drought tolerant, well-drained soil. Attracts hummingbirds, butterflies, and other pollinators. Low maintenance. Leave seed heads standing to attract birds in the fall. Eastern U.S. native. Zone 5.
