Spires of pink flowers with maroon spotting. May – July. 2-3′ tall. Light to moderate shade. Biennial – allow self seeding to ensure future generations. Known to flower in their first year! Attracts hummingbirds. Combine with asarum, ferns, aruncus, tiarella, anemone, helleborus. Deer resistant. Zone 4.
