Deutzia gracilis ‘Nikko’
Graceful, low spreading habit. Abundant white flowers in May. 12 – 24″ tall. Full sun. Intense wine-red fall foliage. Deer resistant. Research from the University of Kentucky found Deutzia gracilis to be ranked among the best woodies for attracting bee pollinators. Branches root as they spread – effective for erosion control on moderate slopes. Also as a specimen, mixed borders, containers. A 1989 PHS Gold Medal Plant. Zone 4.
