Deschampsia cespitosa

Dense, clumping grass. Produces long lasting, light green seed heads maturing straw colored that dance in the breeze. Starts blooming by July and remains effective through fall. 24 – 36″ tall. Full sun – part shade. Moist soil tolerant. Deer resistant. Excellent in mass for a dramatic effect. Northeastern U.S. native. Zone 4.
