Cunila origanoides

Pinkish-purple flowers July – August. Aromatic foliage. 12 – 18″ tall. Full sun – light shade; well-drained, dry soil. Drought tolerant. Deer resistant. Attracts butterflies. Leaves traditionally brewed as a tea. Produces “frost flowers” (frost formations at its base) in the fall. NE U.S. native. Zone 6.
