Bicolor bright yellow flowers with reddish brown centers. Blooms June – November. 1 – 3′ tall. Dense, sturdy habit. Full sun. Drought and poor soil tolerant. Annual, but self-sows well in favorable conditions. Attracts butterflies and other pollinators. Northeastern US native.
