Foliage and flowers have a citronella-like fragrance. Yellow flowers. July – September. 2 – 3′ tall. Light to moderate shade. Organically rich, moist soil. Deer resistant. Traditionally used for medicinal purposes. Northeastern U.S. native of rich woodlands. Zone 4.
