Large deep purple flowers with purple anthers 7 – 8″ across. Long bloomer with flowers May – June with repeat in September. Full sun – part shade. For best growth, mulch or plant groundcovers around base to keep roots cool. Needs support – fence, deck railing, trellis, arbor, pole. Attracts butterflies. 8 – 12′. Zone 4.
