Large, bright red 6 – 7″ flowers with creamy-yellow anthers. Blooms May – June with repeat in August. Full sun – part shade. For best growth, mulch or plant groundcovers around base to keep roots cool. Needs support – fence, deck railing, trellis, arbor, pole. Attracts butterflies. 6 – 8′. Zone 4.
