Dark magenta-red flowers 6 -8 ” across. Gold anthers. June with repeat in August-September. Full sun – part shade. For best growth, mulch or plant groundcovers around base to keep roots cool. Needs support – fence, deck railing, trellis, arbor, pole, mailbox, downspout. Attracts butterflies. 10 – 12′.
