Clear blue, deeply fringed flowers radiate from a purple center with black involucre bracts. May – June. Fuzzy green foliage. 16 – 20″ tall. Full sun – light shade; well-drained soil. Drought tolerant. Can self-sow in favorable conditions. Useful in the mixed border. Zone 3.
