Low, compact shrub 2 – 3 ‘ tall.  Frothy white flowers.  June – July.  Full sun – moderate shade; well-drained soil.  Notably tolerant of dry, inhospitable sites.  A top rated shrub for attracting butterflies.  Attracts hummingbirds.  Borders, massing.  Northeastern U.S. native.  Zone 4.
