Carex appalachica

Very narrow, bright green foliage turning orange-yellow in the fall. 12″ tall. Forms extremely fine-textured, flowing clumps. Versatile as a groundcover, lawn-alternative, in drifts, edges or as an accent.  Part sun – full shade.  Drought tolerant.  Deer resistant.  Northeastern U.S. native.  Zone 3.
