Butter-yellow flowers April – May. Glossy rounded leaves. 1′ tall. Light to full shade. Thrives in organically rich, moist soil. Summer dormant. Plant under deciduous trees & shrubs with ferns, myosotis, tricyrtis and astilbe. Northeastern U.S. native. Zone 3.
