Large, cup-shaped magenta flowers. May – June. 6 – 12″ tall x 2 – 3′ wide. Full sun; well-drained soil. Drought tolerant. Deer resistant. Attracts pollinators. Forms a low, spreading groundcover. Also good in rock gardens. Midwestern U.S. native. Zone 4.
