Astrantia ‘Shaggy’

Green-white upward facing flowers. Long blooming pin-cushion shaped flowers surrounded by a showy collar of papery, petal-like bracts. Deadhead to encourage reblooming. May – July.  Attractive green foliage.  18 – 30″ tall.  Light to moderate shade, moist soil.  Good cut flower – fresh & dried.  An old fashioned cottage garden perennial.  Mixed borders, masses. Attracts butterflies.  Deer resistant.  Low maintenance.  Zone 4.
